West End Games - Star Wars - Stormtroopers

I painted two classic Stormtroopers, 5 more will be painted in the next days.

A groupshot of the Stormtroopers with Darth Vader

I was an active member of the 501st Legion Italica Garrison between 2001-2009. And one of my costumes was the Stormtrooper. Here a pictures of myself, more than 10 years ago, with my Stormtrooper armor (now sold).

  1. You had your own set of Stormtrooper armor? Cool! Am I to guess that it was as awkward to get about in as it looks? Can one sit down while wearing it?

Anyway, I'm always glad to see these old Stormtrooper models getting painted. I still have a few kicking around, and I probably should do something with them before they succumb to lead rot or whatever.

    1. Actually I do not remember I ever tried to sit down ;) The armor was more comfortable than it seems. It sold all my costumes (TIE fighter pilot, Biker Scout, Stormtrooper, Emperor's Royal Guard, Imperial Officer) but still preserved my Lord Carnor Jax costume (maybe one day I will use it again). ;)
The West End Games Stormtroopers were nicely done, unfortunately other WEG SW miniatures were not so well sculpted, like some of the rebel troopers and special ops.

  2. Wow. They're a tough bunch to paint. I hate white. You just did it perfectly!
